Privacy policy
The short version. ElevationBuilder runs entirely in your browser. Your drawings are created on your own computer and saved to your own disk. We never receive them, never store them, and could not produce a copy of your work if asked. There are no user accounts and no passwords. We set no cookies and run no analytics or advertising.
ElevateDrawings.com is operated by Roosen Carroll, LLC. This Privacy Policy describes how Roosen Carroll, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with ElevationBuilder at ElevateDrawings.com (the "Service"). We have written it to describe what the software actually does, rather than to reserve rights we do not exercise.
1. Your drawings never leave your computer
ElevationBuilder's drawing engine is a single page of JavaScript that runs inside your browser. Every elevation, dimension and label is generated on your own machine. No part of your drawing is transmitted to us or to anyone else.
When you save a project, the browser writes a .json file to a location you choose on your
own device. When you print or export, the file is produced locally. We operate no storage for project
files, and there is no "your projects" area on any server of ours.
This is a deliberate design decision, not an oversight. It also means that recovering a lost project file is not something we can help with — keep your own backups as you would for any document on your computer.
2. What the app stores in your browser
The Service uses your browser's own storage to remember a few things between visits. All of it stays on your device, is readable only by you, and can be cleared at any time through your browser's settings for this site.

None of this is transmitted anywhere. Clearing it only means the app forgets those conveniences.
3. Cookies
We set no cookies. The Service does not use cookies for authentication, preferences, analytics or advertising. The browser storage described in section 2 is not a cookie and is not sent with web requests.
4. Analytics and advertising
We run no analytics and display no advertising. There is no Google Analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising script and no third-party tag of any kind on the Service.
If we introduce advertising or analytics in future, we will update this policy before doing so and change the "Last updated" date above.
5. Information we do receive
Server logs. The Service is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare records standard connection information when a page is requested — IP address, browser and operating system, the page requested, and the time of the request. This is used to serve the site, keep it available and protect it from abuse. We do not combine it with anything else or use it to build a profile of you.
Icon font. The app loads its interface icons from jsDelivr, a public content delivery network. Your browser's request to jsDelivr reveals your IP address and browser to them, as any request to any website does. No information about your drawings is involved.
If you email us. We receive whatever you put in the message, and keep it as long as needed to deal with the matter.
6. If you buy ElevationBuilder Pro
Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record. You enter your name, email address and payment details on their checkout, not on our site. We never see or store your card details.
From Lemon Squeezy we receive a record of the purchase — your name, email address, what you bought and when — so that we can issue your licence and provide support. Pro access is unlocked with a licence key tied to the email address used at purchase. There is no account to create, no password to set and no login session. Your drawings remain on your own computer exactly as described above, whether you are on the free tier or Pro.
Lemon Squeezy's handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
7. How long we keep things
- Drawings and project files: we never hold them, so there is nothing to keep or delete.
- Purchase and licence records: kept while your licence is active and afterwards as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal obligations.
- Server logs: retained by Cloudflare for a short period under their standard practice.
- Email correspondence: kept as long as needed to resolve the matter.
8. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. The only parties who handle any data in connection with the Service are those named above — Cloudflare for hosting, jsDelivr for the icon font, and Lemon Squeezy for payments — each acting in the role described. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, safety or property.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. In practice the only personal information we hold is a purchase and licence record, and your email if you have written to us.
To make a request, email privacy@elevatedrawings.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Your drawings are not covered by these rights because we never hold them — they are yours, on your own device, and you control them directly.
10. International visitors
We operate from the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, the limited information described above is handled in the United States and in the regions where Cloudflare and Lemon Squeezy operate.
11. Children
ElevationBuilder is a professional tool intended for adults working in construction, architecture and related trades. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, email privacy@elevatedrawings.com and we will delete it.
12. Security
The Service is served over HTTPS. Because we hold no drawings and no passwords, the most sensitive thing in our possession is a purchase record. Payment data is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy under their own security program.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. If a change materially affects how we handle your information — for example if we introduce advertising, analytics or server-side storage — we will say so clearly on this page before the change takes effect.
